Pelea brings our mission to life. Set in the fictional South American nation of Vivencia, it follows Daya, a young woman caught between power and resistance. When her mother, President Elvia Maria Rojas, vows to protect Indigenous lands from extraction, foreign powers move to seize control.
Blending steampunk aesthetics with themes of imperialism, land defense, and resilience, Pelea echoes real-world struggles against colonization and environmental destruction. Inspired by movements led by land defenders, the film honors their courage while amplifying stories too often overlooked.
Storytelling has the power to inspire action. Your support helps us complete Pelea, a film about land defense, Indigenous resistance, and the fight against modern-day colonization.
